IT Project Manager

As Project Manager You will be closely cooperating with team, project managers and business tests coordinators. You will be a part of digitalisation journey in all parts of Scania IO and based on the project scope you will be helping to create the project strategy.

 

Our Project Managers aims to deliver what fits best to Scania Business and also to support us in improving our Product & Services portfolio.

 

We has a cross-functional responsibility within

• Project Management

• Portfolio Management

• Service Delivery Management (The Business Interface)

• Lead Architecture

• Communication coordination

 

These are fulfilled by working closely to the Scania business, to all groups within the department as well as other departments within IT.

 

As a Project Manager working at the Business & Portfolio group you will lead challenging projects that are direct connected to the exciting scenario above, when you and your awesome teams will work together to delivery new or improved IT services.

 

Within the project directive, the project manager is responsible for managing the project from order to delivery using traditional or preferable Agile management methodologies. We want to give our project managers the freedom to use the best method that fits her or himself, her/his time and her/his project objectives best.

 

This position also gives the opportunity for our new colleague to work cross-functionally since must of our projects have high connection and cooperation with other IT departments and, of course, different Scania business areas.

For you to be successful in this role we believe you are an experienced project manager with strong track record of delivering results with quality and speed.

 

The following skills are essential to this role:

· Experience in driving middle to large sized projects

· Understanding of business requirements and working with key business and technology stakeholders.

· A curious interest in all new IT technology and how it can be transformed into workable and cost-effected solutions

· Ability to prioritizing your daily activities correctly

· Solution oriented

· Your command in English is strong, both verbally and written.

· Interest in and wanting to know more about the manufacturing industry

 

 

Education and/or Experience

You should have understanding of development process of IT solution and as well understand the production environment. As a bridge between the user needs and IT solutions it is good that you understand both.

 

I is an advantage if you have experience to work in multicultural and multinational environment with many stakeholders representing different needs.

 

You need to have experience in showing the consequences of comprising on the test strategy, to help decision making process.

 

A university education within IT or equivalent experience.

To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within both IT and business. You are a team player, but also capable of working independently.
