HR Director - Scania Local Project

A brief summary of the provided position as below:

The main responsibility of this position is to support building up legal entity and HR team, creating company culture and setting relevant processes and policies. To enable a high-performance culture by driving and developing a strategic people perspective through the management team and in collaboration with managers. This is achieved through structured and proactive HR work creating conditions for top performing employees contributing to business objectives. Ensuring that policies and processes are defined, implemented and maintained to meet the demands of a changing business environment.

 

Duty and Task:

  • Organisation Build up
  1. Support building own legal entity with 200+ persons
  2. Support creating company culture
  3. Help to define automation needs and give professional solution
  • Strategic HR organisational development - Define and continually develop the HR plan and strategy for the Business Unit also ensuring implementation and follow up
  1. Succession and Management Planning
  2. Carry out workforce Planning to ensure competences to meet business demands
  3. Develop and implement policies, procedures in the area of responsibility
  4. Set HR Business Plan together with the Senior Project Lead
  5. Contribute to the Business Unit Business Plan and Strategy
  6. Work with organisational development by adapting the company structure to business need
  7. Bring HR perspective to the management team
  • Strategic HR Set and Development - Set and develop the main processes, tools and ways of working with HR for the organisation also considering support of Managers
  1. Support setting local policies
  2. Implement and maintain global HR-processes
  3. Implement global HR Tools
  4. Support the organisations work to attract, recruit and retain dedicated and competent people in a systematic way
  5. Coach executives to find the right people
  6. Work to ensure conditions to create a strong employer brand
  7. Contribute to and at Employer Branding activities
  8. Contribute to Global HR Community
  9. Attend relevant HR Meetings
  10. Being a role model and sharing Good Practices
  • HR Administration and Support - Ensure HR related controlling, reporting and other administrative processes are operative
  1. Support setting policies including home office policy as well as salary bands and align with European HQ
  2. Secure the operations have an adequate Compensations and Benefit structure
  3. Preparing and follow up of Budget for the department
  4. Manage the pay-roll
  5. Secure HR Controlling & Reporting
  6. Work with Rehabilitation and its process when necessary
  7. Apply Conflict Handling and function as a mediator when needed
  • Organisational Change Management - Support the Business in Change Management projects and initiatives
  1. Act as a Change Agent throughout the organisation
  2. Support Business in Change Management projects ensuring smooth execution of change for the business and organisation

  • Follow up
  • Manage HR compliance - Ensure compliance of HR legislations, company policies, regulations etc.
  1. Ensure compliance of HR legislations, company policies, safety regulations, BU policies, collective agreements and guidelines as well as labour relations
  2. Work with Unions and Works Council Ensure correct management of terminations
  • Build up and manage the HR team - Lead, motivate and manage the team enabling high-quality and timely service with good employee satisfaction
  1. Build up HR teams - Define the team members’ main responsibilities and tasks, and in particular recruitment
  2. Decide on mission, vision, activities and follow up
  3. Lead, motivate and manage the team in order to delivering high-quality and timely service to the organisation
  4. Coach individuals on a regular basis, tailored to the individual need and focused on improving competence used in the daily work
  5. Conduct and act upon P&D Talks, competence and performance management, succession planning and employee satisfaction surveys
  6. Set KPI’s and individual targets for the team and follow them up on a regular basis
  7. Establish and uphold a meeting structure where performance is followed-up, information is exchanged and improvements take place
  8. Ensure that there is a remuneration system in place that promotes working according to the set strategy, values and principles
  • Health & Safety development - Coordinate and support Health & Safety development
  1. Ensure and support implementation of safety and health policies, procedures and regulations in daily work
  2. Create and safeguard a healthy, safe and sustainable work environment for all employees supporting business objectives
  3. Support the work with continuous improvements regarding safety and health
  • Representing the company - Represent the company and act as a good spokesperson at different activities
  1. Represent and act as a spokesperson for the organisation through Employer Branding activities
  2. Representing company before labour regulatory agencies and bodies
  • Systemize improvement work - Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the same department and cross-functional improvement activities

  5. Set a lean strategy (linked to business needs) for whole the operation

 

Requirement and Qualification:

  1. Bachelor degree with equivalent work experience
  2. Relevant business knowledge and experience in a similar role
  3. Extensive managerial and leadership experience preferably in the heavy vehicle or a related B2B industry
  4. Experience from a position with a large number of direct reports with a P&L responsibility an advantage
  5. Fluent in English
