Cloud Vendor Officer

The main responsibility of the Cloud vendor officer is to support all Scania units in China with management of cloud vendors. These responsibilities entail new and existing cloud suppliers. This role is the Procurement Area Leader for cloud and works very close to IT purchasing, Compliance, ISEC, various business entities and the central cloud foundation team. The cloud vendor officer is a specialist in cloud platforms within China.

 

Competencies

 

Cloud Vendor Management Operational

  • Single Point of contact for Cloud platforms for Scania
  • Work with ISEC to address operational security issues
  • Make forecasts and follow up on budgets
  • Optimize spend and suggest improvements to utilization models
  • Lead and participate as a stakeholder in various cloud projects
  • Support business in Business Continuity Management
  • Work with cloud vendors to assess service offering in China
  • Closely cooperate with Scania’s procurement functions

Cloud Vendor Management Tactical

  • Assess development of new functions/products at Vendors
  • Evaluate new setups
  • Establish governance and policy framework within area

Project Management

  • Set strategic plan including plan for deploying global cloud solutions onto local instance (e.g., Global AWS solution to China AWS) but also local cloud providers (e.g. AliCloud).
  • Closely cooperate with Scania’s procurement functions
  • Closely cooperate with Scania’s Research and development units

Governance, Legislative and compliance

  • Cooperate with Scania legal functions, local ISEC and Data privacy officers
  • Set policy for Cloud
  • Establish playbooks (guidelines & instructions) for cloud vendors

ISV’s

  • Work with global cloud providers and assess compatibility within China
  • Work with local cloud providers to assess their service offering (micro programs)

Technical

  • Experience from practical work in the field of cloud (e.g. PaaS, IaaS, system development)
  • Understanding of cloud standards (e.g. integrations & interfaces). Ability to discuss standards with solution architects.

  • Run projects related to cloud

Desirable experience & qualifications

  • University degree in Computer science, preferably within Cloud
  • Project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of working with Cloud (PaaS, IaaS, Development)
  • Proven track record of successful PaaS, IaaS, SaaS cloud workloads
  • Excellent command of oral and written English and Mandarin
