Scania Digital Services is a complete suite of services that encompasses tools such as Fleet Management System (FMS), My Scania portal, Scania Fleet app, Scania Driver app, and Scania ProDriver to maximise fleet performance. From real-time vehicle data to powerful insights, it empowers you to make smarter, faster decisions. Fleet managers gain visibility to cut downtime, boost efficiency, and support ESG goals, while drivers get the tools and guidance to drive safer and more efficiently. Scania Digital Services helps customers operate smarter and run a more profitable and sustainable operation.

The Scania Digital Services Day, held at Scania Malaysia in Bukit Jelutong, gained strong interests and enthusiasm from customers, especially for the Scania Driver app’s pre-departure check and defect reporting function, the Scania ProDriver’s gamification aspect to driver training, and the My Scania portal’s driver evaluation feature.

The Scania Driver app is the driver’s main contact point into the My Scania digital ecosystem. It replaces paper checklists and streamlines drivers’ pre-departure inspections as drivers are able to complete comprehensive vehicle checks directly from their mobile devices anytime, anywhere. Drivers will enjoy a smarter and faster way to ensure their vehicle is safe and road ready. By streamlining the drivers’ administrative tasks with a digital tool, it also benefits the fleet management by simplifying workflows, storage of checklists, and defect report handling.

“After going through the Scania Driver app, I think it is very useful because what we have been doing now is very manual, even our reporting. With this digitalised system, it’s very helpful because our driver can do all the checking through the app,” said Winnie Wee, ESG & Operational Excellence Manager from FM Global Logistic (M) Sdn Bhd.

Within the Scania Driver app, the Scania ProDriver empowers drivers to develop fuel-efficient and safe driving habits through its digital coaching service, helping drivers maximise their vehicle’s performance while minimising environmental impact. Lower fuel costs and enhanced driver engagement contribute to a culture of efficiency that benefits the customer’s entire operation towards achieving their sustainability goals.

“As everything in Scania ProDriver is quest based, which is like playing a game to accomplish something, drivers will start to be competitive, and this will lead to better progress in terms of driving habits which is good for both operators and drivers,” said Edmond Wong, Managing Director from Kok Onn Transport Agency Sdn Bhd.

The digital coaching service from Scania ProDriver is even better when complemented by the physical training offered through Scania’s Driver Training and Coaching. Scania’s Driver Training and Coaching is a driving masterclass beyond teaching how to drive a truck or bus. It is rather how to really make the absolute most out of our customers’ Scania vehicles for their specific operation and routes. Our certified driver trainers leverage the latest in coaching and training methodologies, resulting in an average 10% reduction in fuel consumption – based on data from over 50,000 trained drivers.

With My Scania portal, our customer platform for Scania Digital Services, operators and fleet managers will have all the data and insights from their vehicles that can help them improve at their fingertips. Operators and fleet managers can keep track of their vehicle position, monitor driver evaluation scores, track vehicle performance, review environmental report, and so much more, on one single platform with the Scania ID.

The Scania Fleet app is the fleet operator's digital platform designed to streamline operations, boost profitability, and enhance transport efficiency.

With real-time access to vehicle positions, defect report, and service bookings, fleet management has never been easier for customers.

“This app is very helpful to our operations especially since we deal with vehicle deliveries. The Scania Fleet app can help us improve driver behaviour as our fleet managers are able to monitor driver performance such as speeding. Another benefit to us is in terms of costing, as a well-managed fleet is able to reduce maintenance cost. It can improve our operational efficiency overall,” said Ahmad Akmal, Engineer of Operational Support of Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd.

Scania’s FMS Control Package gives customers a lot more of both information and insights. From core necessities like real time positioning, via vehicle performance, environmental reports tracking their CO2 emissions, service planning and defect reporting all the way to driver evaluation.

“The driver evaluation feature of Scania Fleet Management System can help us to better track our driver’s performance levels such as fuel efficiency. If drivers are able to understand the effects of their idling towards fuel efficiency, this can help us with cost savings as well. There are also many other features that benefit us, so good job to Scania,” said Mohd Fadzly Bin Zamaludin, Assistant General Manager of IT and Strategic Planning from Mara Liner Sdn Bhd.

During the event, Scania Zone was also introduced to customers. Scania Zone comes with Scania’s FMS Control Package subscription. Scania Zone is a position-based service for automatic vehicle speed adjustment. The feature helps drivers to follow traffic and environmental regulations by automatically adjusting the vehicle’s speed in real-time in pre-defined zones, enabling a sustainable vehicle operation and providing increased safety for other road users. This feature provides an excellent support for meeting the rising demand for local consideration and increased safety concerns when vehicles are operating in sensitive areas.

Scania Digital Services also transcend to the vehicles in Scania’s workshops. The Digital Vehicle Health Check enables Scania to execute a comprehensive vehicle health check efficiently and effectively in just 30 minutes for customers to enjoy a hassle-free uptime without compromising on quality service.

The combination of Scania Ecolution and Scania Digital Services will offer tailored ESG solutions that can enhance the fuel efficiency while lowering the CO2 emissions of a customer’s fleet, aligning with their sustainability goals. To further encourage both fleet operators and drivers to improve fuel efficiency, Ecolution’s ‘A Good Company’ and ‘A Good Driver’ competition are initiatives that rewards the best company and driver with the best total average percentage of km/l improvement.
