Innovation and customer focus have characterised Scania’s bus operations ever since the operations started a hundred years ago, and bus designs from Scania have garnered major attention worldwide.
In 1911 the first Swedish-built bus began service in western Sweden. It was the ‘Nordmark’ bus, with seating for 12 passengers who embarked via a staircase at the rear.
Today’s challenge for the bus business is to speed up the transition to more sustainable passenger transport.
