Trevor O'Brien

General Manager Vehicle Sales Support

During his 35 years with Scania, Trevor has risen through the ranks to be the National Manager Bus, National Manager for Government Bus Sales, and in his present capacity, he is the General Manager Vehicle Sales Support across the Scania truck and bus business.

As a result of Scania’s significant market share in bus and coach, Trevor possesses a unique understanding of the key elements required to specify and construct as well as operate and maintain public transport bus and coach hardware in a very demanding environment.

Government owned or operated buses in Australia must fulfil a very long – by western standards – working life approaching 25 years, in some cases this is mandated. Due to this extended lifecycle, Trevor has had to ensure that products presented to the market are capable of high durability and reliability over the long term, and that support services in after sales can provide high-levels of uptime availability for operators over the vehicle’s entire working life.

Emphasising his commitment to the bus and coach industry, Trevor has also served as a past committee member of the national bus industry body, the Bus Industry Confederation of Australia.
