Paid Parental Leave

At Scania our policies are designed to be inclusive and actively support Scania commitment to Diversity and Inclusion. Our leave provisions are non-gendered and our parental and carer definitions support primary carers and partner (secondary) carer irrespective of gender.

We understand that the transition into parenthood requires planning and preparation and that bringing a new child home leads to a change of priorities. Whether expecting a child, adopting, fostering or undergoing surrogacy arrangements, our family friendly policy offers a range of ways to support family responsibilities.

Scania’s commitment to families allows paid parental leave for all employees, both primary and secondary carers.  Primary carers receive 12 weeks of full pay or 24 weeks of half pay.  Secondary carers who are eligible will receive 2 weeks full pay or 4 weeks half pay.
