Scania XT range
For tough challenges
Stronger than ever
Carrying more than a hundred years of experience, the Scania XT range stands ready to take on the toughest challenges. Scania’s XT range can be tailored to withstand challenging surroundings, securing uptime and boosting productivity, in order for you to run a profitable operation.
The XT range comes with a series of powerful features. Driving a XT truck indicates true quality and is a sign of robustness and power.
Steel bumper
The XT bumper provides excellent protection for the components at the front of the vehicle, reducing unwanted downtime and costly cab and chassis repairs while improving mobility with its larger attack angle. You can also add front underrun protection with Auto Emergency Brake (AEB) if required.
Towing device
The readily-accessible tow pin at the front provides a 40-tonne towing capacity, the strongest on the market. It enables the vehicle to be quickly pulled out of trouble, even without unloading its cargo.
Inspection step
The inspection step available on our day cabs provides easy access for checking the cargo or body without stepping down from the cab. Integrated in the cab side behind the door, combined with a handle on the roof and with an extra handle inside the cab available if needed, it provides the best possible ergonomics.
Robust mirrors
The robust XT mirrors have a rugged, patterned surface that is scratch-resistant, helping the mirrors retain their good looks over time.
Driver position
By moving the driver’s position forward, lowering the instrument panel and redesigning the A-pillars, the cab ensures improved direct visibility and a spacious feel behind the wheel.
Dashboard options
The dashboard comes in various executions and materials to fit your operation. You can also specify a module with additional switches.
Resting equipment
The optional resting equipment comprises a 540 mm fold-down bunk attached to the rear wall. It is comfortable for a nap while waiting to load or unload, as well as for an occasional overnight stay.
High air intake
The high air intake is designed to supply the engine with the cleanest air possible, suitable for dusty environments. The new high air intake is available for the complete engine range, including the 16-litre, and comes in two versions – Standard and Heavy Duty.
Fold-out service step
The fold-out service step in the bumper, together with grab handles in the front, ensures safe, non-slip climbing. Grab handles are integrated in the cab front, enabling easy access to the windscreen and saving time on daily maintenance.
Headlamp protection
When driving in rough surroundings, having dependable lights that do not break makes a big difference. The Scania XT is fitted with headlamp protection and integrated fog lamps in the bumper.
Anti-roll bar
The three-piece anti-roll bar at the front of the cab enables quicker access to the cooler and the auxiliary equipment fitted in front of the engine.
Mudguard
Scania introduces a new mudguard design for the second front axle. The height is adjustable in four positions to match different tyre sizes, while maintaining the clearance to suit the body. The height is adjusted by changing the position of the upper or lower brackets.
Pre-punched holes
These pre-punched top row holes will provide great flexibility for the bodybuilder when mounting the bodywork, which will save both time and cost, while ensuring Scania quality through-and-through.
Communication interface
The Scania Bodywork Communication Interface enables a perfect integration between the chassis and the bodywork. Use the electrical I/O pins or CAN interface. Expand the I/O with additional nodes.
Power take-off options
A power take-off is needed to power external equipment. Scania supplies clutch dependent and independent power take-offs between 400-2000Nm for many different needs – engine-driven, clutch driven and gearbox-driven in two positions.
