Singapore, 1 January 2023 – Scania Singapore Pte. Ltd. (SSG) celebrates its 20th anniversary by accelerating the shift towards a sustainable transport system.

Scania is a Swedish brand that started 132 years ago. The brand has been in Singapore since the early 1970’s. Then Scania Singapore Pte. Ltd. (SSG) was established in 2003, supporting the logistics, construction and public service sectors, commuting people and goods every day throughout the country. SSG today offers capabilities in sales, repair and maintenance, roadside assistance, parts, data-driven services such as fleet management systems and driver training and coaching. The company’s strategic focus continues to be on customer profitability by being in the forefront of sustainable transport solutions. It has the broadest range of fuel-efficient solutions, renewable fuel & electrification options coupled with safe & smart transport technologies – all to provide the best performance, uptime, fuel economy, safety, comfort and sustainability.

SSG continues to achieve milestones in Singapore over the years. They include the introduction of the then new K-, N-series bus & coach chassis and being the first in Asia to be Euro4-compliant in 2006. The first Euro5 EEV city buses to serve the public arrived in 2008. The first success in the construction segment came in 2010 and SSG became the No. 1 selling truck brand in 2014 while achieving a record year for truck sales too. Subsequently, SSG rolled out Scania Assistance and Scania Fleet management system in 2016, Scania Credit and New Truck Generation in 2018. SSG became the No.1 selling truck again in 2021. Last year, the first New Truck Generation V8 770 hp was delivered and the first Scania Super and BEV truck was ordered, further accelerating the shift towards a sustainable transport system.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in Singapore for joining us over the years; in driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
