BJ Mercantile Inc. congratulates the 2022 Tri-Clark Scania Athletes of the Year

Ending the year 2022, BJ Mercantile Inc. recently awarded the Tri-Clark Scania Athletes of the Year.
John Villanueva was named the Scania Athlete for the male category while Rhia Stawicki, was the Scania Athlete for the female category. For the Junior athletes, Jose Mari Tayag, Jr. tops the male category, and Annika Marie Tayag for the female category.
The Athletes of the Year were determined based on the point system that Tri-Clark team has established. More points are gained from participating on local and international triathlon races, podium finishes and no. of trainings (attended). The awards were given during the team’s year-end Christmas party led by its President, Andrew Coronel.
With the different sports races coming back in the second half of 2022, particularly triathlon, the team has grown in numbers for the past year especially with more Junior athletes getting interested in tri-sports.

Scania Philippines (through its official dealer, BJ Mercantile, inc) has started sponsoring the group since 2020. The Scania Tri-Clark partnership is a result of both organizations’ commitment to promote active lifestyle and sports tourism while working towards a sustainable future.
