POLLISUM ENGINEERING CROWNED CHAMPIONS IN SCANIA ECOLUTION ‘A GOOD COMPANY’ AND ‘A GOOD DRIVER’ COMPETITIONS 2025
Pollisum Engineering Pte Ltd is the Scania Ecolution ‘A Good Company’ Champion of 2025, achieving the highest percentage of improvement in carbon reduction compared to the previous year. Their driver, Kandsamy Subramanian, also clinched the Scania Ecolution ‘A Good Driver’ Champion award for 2025, marking the third consecutive year a Pollisum Engineering driver has won the title having also secured it in 2023 and 2024.
“Being recognised again as ‘A Good Company’ reflects the consistency of our approach in building a responsible driving culture within the organisation. We are especially proud that our driver has secured the ‘A Good Driver’ award for the third year running, which speaks to the effectiveness of our efforts to emphasise good driving habits with our drivers. These milestones reinforce our drivers’ commitment to safer, more efficient driving and support our broader goal of lowering our environmental impact,” said Ang Ka San, Managing Director of Pollisum Engineering.
Both the Scania Ecolution ‘A Good Company’ and ‘A Good Driver’ competition is open to companies under the Scania Ecolution partnership, where Scania and a participating company would work together towards optimising fuel efficiency in the fleet. Both parties would agree on a set of fuel- and carbon-reduction targets and achieve these by utilising Scania’s sustainable transport solutions and Scania Digital Services, which are designed to optimise each vehicle.
Scania Fleet Management System Control Package, part of Scania Digital Services, provides data to fleet managers which can be accessed via the My Scania portal and Scania Fleet app. Fleet managers can monitor the fuel efficiency and carbon reduction performance of each vehicle and its assigned driver, support their operational decisions, and identify potential improvements.
To support the drivers, the Scania Driver app helps drivers by monitoring their performance and offering actionable driving tips to reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. More importantly, it provides access to Scania ProDriver, a digital coaching service that promotes fuel-efficient and safe driving habits, empowering drivers to maximise vehicle performance while minimising environmental impact.
“I am very honoured to receive the ‘A Good Driver’ title this year and to contribute to the company’s sustainability goals. I managed to reduce my fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by ensuring my vehicle is checked and maintained according to schedule, and components such as the air filter is cleaned daily. The Scania Driver app is really useful as it helps me perform my daily pre-departure checks effortlessly,” said Kandsamy Subramanian.
Judging was based on the percentage improvement in carbon reduction for the qualifying period of 1 January to 31 December 2025, when compared to the same period the year before. Scania Ecolution ‘A Good Company’ competition identified the company with the best improvement across its entire fleet, while ‘A Good Driver’ competition looked for the best performing individual driver.
1st Runner-up winner for ‘A Good Company’ competition is Wendy Transport Enterprise Co while their driver, Wu Yingwen, is also the 1st Runner-up winner for ‘A Good Driver’ competition.
Hoysan Transport Pte Ltd secured the 2nd Runner-up winner for ‘A Good Company’ competition. Their driver, Ho Ling Chun, is the 2nd Runner-up winner for ‘A Good Driver’ competition.
