Training Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain training modules, manuals, presentations, and other learning materials.
- Conduct training programs, orientations, workshops, and competency assessments through face-to-face and/or virtual platforms.
- Facilitate technical, safety, defensive driving, and operational training programs for drivers and operators.
- Monitor and follow up on training activities to ensure effectiveness and completion of learning objectives.
- Evaluate driver and operator performance through assessments, observations, ride-alongs, and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Management, or any related field.
- Relevant training certifications are an advantage.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in training, driver development, fleet operations, transportation, logistics, or related industries.
- Experience in conducting classroom and field-based training programs is preferred.
- Background in commercial vehicle operations, trucking, bus transportation, or heavy equipment operations is an advantage.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage assigned tasks and training schedules.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Creative and detail-oriented in preparing training materials, modules, and presentations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all organizational levels.
- Valid Professional Driver's License with appropriate restrictions/DL Codes.
- Can operate heavy tractors with trailers, buses, and other commercial vehicles.
- Knowledgeable in operating both manual and automated transmission vehicles.
- Willing to travel and conduct field training activities as required.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, defensive driving principles, and vehicle operation standards is an advantage.
