The Workshop Controller is responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop; overseeing the Technician team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved, whilst maintaining positive relationships with our customers.

• Manage the workshop operation, ensuring there is a efficient flow of authorised work, and relevant internal / customer documentation is completed in a timely manner
• At all times strive to exceed depot key performance indicators
• Lead and motivate staff
• Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service
• Liaise with parts department to ensure planned work is fully catered for
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
• Ensure appropriate clocking’s are made and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
• Organise workloads and communicate with your team
• Monitor and improve technician efficiency
• Maximise technician utilisation, via liaison with service reception to ensure correct work loading
• Participate in and promote all Scania GB / TruckEast initiatives

• Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Qualified Technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
• Current driving licence
• Autoline 8.35 use
• Supervisory or management experience
• LGV/HGV licence
• Ability to work within a team
