Job Type: 45 hours per week, Full-time, Permanent. Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00, alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00

Overview
The Workshop Controller is responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop; overseeing the Technician team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved, whilst maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
essential duties and job responsibilities
- Manage the workshop operation, ensuring there is a efficient flow of authorised work, and relevant internal / customer documentation is completed in a timely manner
- At all times strive to exceed depot key performance indicators
- Lead and motivate staff
- Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service
- Liaise with parts department to ensure planned work is fully catered for
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
- Ensure appropriate clocking’s are made and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
- Organise workloads and communicate with your team
- Monitor and improve technician efficiency
- Maximise technician utilisation, via liaison with service reception to ensure correct work loading
- Participate in and promote all Scania GB / TruckEast initiatives
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Qualified Technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
- Current driving licence
- Autoline 8.35 use
- Supervisory or management experience
- LGV/HGV licence
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Detail orientated
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to work under pressure
