Get your hands on some of the world’s finest vehicles with our apprenticeship for an hgv technician. Through a combination of theoretical and practical learning, you’ll be able to diagnose and repair faults, carry out routine maintenance and learn how to use our state-or-the-art diagnostics equipment. COACHING AND MENTORING
During your first week, we’ll assign you a mentor who’ll support and guide you through your apprenticeship, and share their day-to-day experiences. You’ll also receive support from your dealer as well as the in-house team at the Scania Training Centre.
FORMAL TRAINING
Every 8-12 weeks, you'll attend formal training at the Scania Training Centre in Loughborough. The facility is an Institute of the Motor Industry Awards Centre, with state-of-the-art training rooms and a fully-fitted workshop featuring leading-edge vehicle technology and diagnostic equipment.
PROGRESS CHECK
Throughout your apprenticeship, we'll check on your progress to make sure you're on the right path. After successfully completing a three-year programme, you'll graduate with two industry recognised qualifications: The IMI Technical Certificate Level 2/3 and an NVQ for Maintenance and Repair, heavy Vehicle Level 2/3.
