Site refurbishment maximises space

TruckEast Witham has recently undergone a thorough renovation and extension to maximise space, improve facilities, and allow for potential future growth of the team.

New investment into the site, which first opened for business in the mid-90s, started in March 2017 with the implementation of a dedicated ATF lane. In 2018 work continued with a 10m x 4m extension to the side of the building, and the renovation reached its conclusion in the summer of this year.

The redesign has been carried out with the customer journey in mind; walking through the entrance visitors will find the reception area far more spacious and benefiting from increased natural light, resulting in a calm and welcoming ambiance. An improved exterior finish and fascia in-keeping with Scania’s corporate design means that the site now boasts a fresh modern look inside and out.

A new kitchen, LED lighting throughout and improved welfare facilities have been built for staff to enjoy, in addition to extra office space created by the extension to accommodate for potential future expansion of the team.

Depot Manager Ryan Cory said: “I’m both delighted and very proud with the final results here at Witham. We’re gaining positive feedback from customers about the new Reception area and Customer Lounge on a daily basis. The team are definitely happier with the premises all round. There’s no doubt that investment in your working environment boosts both morale and efficiency, which is great to see.”
