Crick branch investments are underway
Investments begin to take shape at TruckEast Crick, following the successful appointment of contractors ‘Tungsten Properties’.
Earlier this year, the contract for TruckEast’s £2.5m investment in its Crick branch was awarded to Tungsten whose expertise lies in industrial and warehouse development.
Since taking on the expansion project, the contractor has worked closely on the plans with TruckEast management and work has commenced in the building next door. The existing, unused, office-space has been demolished whilst the old cladding has been stripped and new external fascia applied.
The latest developments include the installation of new workshop doors, windows and glazed screens in the lobby and the erection of steelwork for the first floor offices and stores. Over the next couple of weeks, we shall see the internal space begin to come together with the office fit-out. Meanwhile, externally the cleared land to the rear will be flattened and prepared for access and additional yard space.
“Things that felt months away are now getting closer and we are pleased to say we are on track for completion by year-end. We’re really happy with the progress so far – it is already an amazing transformation and it goes to say that everyone is excited to see the finished result,” comments Regional Aftersales Director, Graham Broughton.
In spite of the building work, Crick remains a fully operational site to customers. The original and current workshop space and offices remain untouched and work will not begin there until the extension is ready for operational use.
