Supporting the local Air Ambulance service
On Saturday 4 March, 50 guests and staff of TruckEast Limited joined over 300 others at the Park Inn, Northampton, for the 2017 Northants Transport Engineering Group (NTEG) Dinner and Dance.
Each year the NTEG Dinner and Dance brings together industry operators to raise awareness and funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. Now in its tenth year of running the event, NTEG has raised in excess of £100,000 for the charity who plays a vital role in providing rapid emergency healthcare.
The evening included a delicious three course meal, great entertainment and various fund raising activities, including a raffle and auctions with fantastic prizes.
This year alone, sponsors and attendees managed to raise a grand total of £15,000, all of which has gone to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
Not only is the charity local to many of TruckEast’s branches, but a great support for the industry with the largest percentage of missions carried out by the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance being road traffic collisions. The paramedics, doctors and pilots work closely together to provide advanced clinical care on scene before transporting the patient to the most suitable hospital for their injuries.
To date, the charity has carried out over 25,000 missions and with the average rescue costing £1,700 and with no government funding, they are fully reliant on charitable donations.
"Events such as the NTEG Dinner and Dance are an invaluable means of support for charities such as the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, and as a key sponsor of the event, TruckEast is proud to support such a worthy cause,” comments Marketing Manager, Jessica Webb.
