Overview

The role of the Contracts Engineer Manager at TruckEast is to pro-actively manage the contract portfolio and oversee the day-to-day activities of the contracts department. 

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Pro-active management of contract portfolio ensuring effective cost control
  • Manage contract pre-authorisation process and cost agreements
  • Budgeting in conjunction with Sales & Operations Director
  • Manage internal and external Dealer workshop relationships
  • Ensure repair costs are within agreed Inter-Dealer framework guidelines
  • Maximise use of manufacturer goodwill, extended warranty, and parts warranty schemes
  • Involvement in new contract costing
  • Explore new business opportunities in conjunction with management team
  • Provide feedback and analysis of contract portfolio to senior management team
  • Management of contracts team
  • General duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your Manager

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience within an automotive technical role
  • Background within automotive, preferably the commercial vehicle industry
  • Industry recognised qualification (desirable)
  • Advanced Technical understanding of vehicle repair processes
  • An understanding of vehicle & customer compliance in regard to O Licence requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy including excel / ADP
  • Good understanding of the business environment in the customer interface
  • Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
  • Extensive technical knowledge
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation and analytical skills
  • Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
