Overview

Apply today to work amongst our existing team at Corby where your role is responsible for ensuring the MOT process is fully completed for all vehicles, including all required preparation and necessary logistics. The role also includes management of the yard including basic site maintenance as and when required.

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Ensure MOT process is carried out and following in full, before vehicle is presented, including Quality Control checks
  • Ensure 3rd party work is carried out correctly
  • Maintain good relationships with DVSA examiners
  • Collect and deliver customer and company vehicles when necessary
  • Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
  • Maintain communication with customers
  • Ensure appropriate clockings are made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and basic site maintenance
  • Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
  • General duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your line manager

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current HGV driving licence
  • Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Solution-driven approach
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • IT literate
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
  • Fork-lift licence (desirable)
