Apply today to work amongst our highly-energised team at Wellingborough branch. Your role of the Contracts Engineer is to pro-actively process the contract portfolio for the business. 

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Pro-active processing of the contract portfolio ensuring effective cost control
  • Ensure the contract pre-authorisation process and cost agreements are administered efficiently
  • Complete all administrative duties to the required standard
  • Communicate with internal and external Dealer workshop contacts
  • Ensure customer relationships remain positive and communication is completed to the required timescales
  • Ensure repair costs are within agreed Inter-Dealer framework guidelines
  • Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to within the department
  • Maximise use of manufacturer goodwill, extended warranty, and parts warranty schemes
  • General duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your Manager

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience within an automotive technical role
  • Background within automotive, preferably the commercial vehicle industry
  • Industry recognised qualification (desirable)
  • Advanced Technical understanding of vehicle repair processes
  • An understanding of vehicle & customer compliance in regard to O Licence requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy including excel / ADP
  • Good understanding of the business environment in the customer interface
  • Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
  • Extensive technical knowledge
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation and analytical skills
  • Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
