Recycling of batteries at Scania

Industrial Batteries

Scania (Great Britain) Limited produce Lead, Lithium and Nickel Metal Hydride industrial batteries in accordance to the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009.

We take back waste industrial batteries supplied to an end user for treatment and recycling free of charge. We are required to do this in any calendar year that we place new industrial batteries on the market.

If any of our customers – or other end users – would like us to take back industrial batteries, they are advised to contact their local Scania dealership. Details of Scania dealer locations can be found here: www.scania.co.uk/dealer. We will then agree the necessary arrangements for the appropriate return, treatment and recycling of waste industrial batteries.
