Cashflow confidence for SMEs – how Scania Financial Services can help you plan ahead
If you thought last year was a bumpy ride for SMEs, get ready for more twists and turns along the road in 2021.
According to the most recent survey published by the Road Haulage Association, 73 percent of hauliers said their cashflow was significantly reduced or worse as a result of the pandemic. For SMEs in the truck industry, whose cashflow reserves are likely to be smaller, the year ahead could be challenging.
‘The pandemic is definitely having an impact on turnover but we are doing all we can to help SMEs with cashflow’ says Warren King, National Sales Manager for Scania Financial Services ‘That means funding their trucks – regardless of whether they are Scania or not, in the most manageable way possible.’
The Scania Financial Services team works with customers to tailor the deal structure to their budgets, using capital outlay and VAT deferrals as options. Products such as Freedom and Flexi-Buy provide more flexibility than standard products and help ease cashflow.
‘Our aim is to help customers plan for every eventuality and provide them with the flexibility they need to make their purchases affordable,’ continues Warren ‘we also encourage them to look at other financial options to free up cash, so they can invest in other parts of the business.’
‘We’d ask customers to speak directly to their Relationship Manager as no business is the same and neither are our financial packages as these can be tailored to their needs.’
