Risk and Controls Officer
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Plus, excellent benefits package including hybrid working, flexi-time system, bonus incentive, pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The Risk and Controls Officer will be joining a small team alongside the Compliance Officer and reporting to, the Head of Governance Risk and Compliance. Your main activities will include Implementing the risk and controls frameworks, identifying, and analysing business risks, and working closely with your colleagues to identify gaps, control opportunities and areas of improvement within existing ways of working.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of risk management policies, control procedures and reporting
- Maintaining the organisation’s risk and incident registers, receiving and processing incident reports from across the business and identifying underlying trends and areas of significant risk
- Providing training and subject matter expertise to colleagues across the business in relation to risk management and internal control
- Identifying control failures and providing expert support with remediation
