ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Location: Milton Keynes & home

Reporting to: Internal Sales Manager

 
Overview:

The main responsibilities of the Account Executive is to support the external sales team and introducers to maximise sales and earnings whether that is through funding units with Scania Finance or with one of the partner funders. As a sales role it is expected that the jobholder will be able to negotiate and close their own leads.

 
Professional Competencies:
  • Manage the production of customer quotes for the external sales team
  • Loading/amending proposals onto our systems
  • Requesting additional information to support proposal completion
  • Be a point of contact to customers when the external sales member is unobtainable
  • Maintain and grow dealer contact on a regular basis, covering both wholly owned and independent dealers across the UK
  • Administer the rate request process and RV requirements
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external sales and other SFGB employees
  • Negotiate finance terms and rates with customers providing written quotations in accordance with company requirements, in conjunction with the external sales team or other stakeholders
  • Help our introducer partners with applications to our credit team
  • Support and grow the relationships with our introducers
  • Provide necessary reports and measures for introducers, to maintain effective account management
  • Fully support dealer relationships and assist with account management process
  • Updating the deliveries forecast spreadsheet for the month
  • Develop funding relationships with our customers to fund non- Scania assets
  • Assist in placing any business not written by SFGB with a third-party funder, maximising income whilst maintaining customer relations
  • Maintain and enhance third party funder relationships where possible
  • Create, quote and follow up vehicle and equipment leads
  • Secure customer details and financial information, analyse and interpret management/financial information and then prepare credit proposals for submission to the funding partners
  • Aiding in maximising insurance sales where possible (GAP, RTI & vehicle insurance)
  • Create, quote and follow up vehicle and fleet insurance leads
  • Stay up to date with training requirements for insurance

Desirable experience & qualifications:
  • Experience in the finance industry is preferred but not essential
  • A team player
  • Confident in communicating with customers (both internal & external) via phone/email/face-to-face
  • Proficient in Windows applications specifically Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Strong aptitude and willingness in developing a clear understanding of asset finance and insurance products
  • Valid driving license is essential due to potential requirement to make site visits to dealers, funding partners and customers
