The challenge                    


In this job you are the global expert for Scania Parts Logistics regarding automotive electronic devices. You operate between the Scania R&D, suppliers, parts logistics and the customer. You are responsible at Scania Parts Logistics (Belgium, Oudsbergen) for the programming process and distribution of the current and new generation of the electrical systems with the Scania Truck. In this function you will be part of engineering team and report to the Manager Warehouse Engineering.

 

You are aware of the latest legacy systems and requirements for Cyber security. And you translate local requirements towards product owners, and global/legal requirements to Scania parts logistics. Related to automotive electronics, you define and continuously improve processes, you write working standards and provide training to Scania Parts Logistics operators programming and handling electronic devices. You stay well informed regarding all automotive electronic devices (mainly electronic control units) available to Scania products worldwide.

 

You provide the necessary equipment and software required for programming and testing the electronic devices. Together with the IT provider, you schedule required maintenance of hardware and upgrades of the software. You participate in the global Scania Automotive Electronics forum. with main focus on project management for upcoming challenges within ECU process.

 

You also participate in the warehouse engineering department in potential other process improvement activities such as E-mobility, warehouse automatization, robotisation, ... 


Your talents                   


For this job we are looking for a bachelor or master in industrial engineering with experience in programming, testing and maintaining automotive electronic devices. You understand electrical drawings and you are able to translate automotive electronics requirements to suppliers. You have an affinity with IT and have experience in project management.

 

You are fluent in English and Dutch and you are able to work with MS Office applications. You are an assertive team player, a problem solver and good communicator and customer-oriented. You have the skills of a trainer and coach and you are eager to learn. Some travelling is required during the introduction / training period.
