The challenge                    

 

Scania Parts Logistics aspires to deliver premium logistics service to customers worldwide. This required Best in Class warehouse processes, co-workers and digital solutions. The Warehouse Engineering department serves a crucial part in the continuous improvement of our warehouse processes to meet the customer expectations. We are continuously looking for innovative solutions through cooperation with the V.I.L., logistical consulting agencies, automation partners, universities but also engineers within Scania and other brands within the VW-group. The Warehouse Engineering Manager is the key function to proactively and reactively research the available opportunities.

 

In your role as Warehouse Engineering Manager you steer a team of 10 process- and project engineers. With this team you will work on short and long term process development. You are responsible for the successful implementation of the projects within the Global Warehouse but also in the Regional Warehouses in Europe. You work on defining and reaching goals in terms of safety, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity. On top of that you safeguard that set objectives are reached.

 

your talents               

 

You can prove over 5 years of experience in a similar function. You are a strong people manager and communicate easily with co-workers in the warehouse as well as with Senior Management. You are able to work together with your team in a constructive way, coaching and inspiring them to perform well. You have strong analytical and organisational competences. You are open and honest and at the same time thoughtful and discrete. You can express yourself well in and English.

 

You have quite some experience of engineering in a logistical environment and can prove you have knowledge of implementing engineering projects. It would be beneficial if you can also show some experience in Warehouse Automation. You are interested in and are aware of the latest developments and innovations in the area of Warehouse Engineering. You are self-assured and you have your own vision which you can explain and visualise easily.

 

As Manager Warehouse Engineering you will report directly to the Director Process Development & Innovation and will take part in the strategic Management Team meetings where you will be able to contribute to the vision of our future company.
