The challenge
Are you a driven professional with a passion for international trade and legislation? Are you seeking a challenging role where you will be responsible for developing and implementing various regulations within complex SPC processes? Then the position of International Trade Coordinator at our company is perfect for you!
As an International Trade Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing our trade activities. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to trade, customs, and Known Consignor. Your focus will include import, export, and other specifics such as inspection markets, military goods, and EAR99. Your expertise and dedication are crucial in ensuring that our processes run efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
Apart from your engagement in legislation, you will also play a crucial role in the renewal and upkeep of diverse processes. You will conduct regular audits, such as the monthly KC audit and AEO self-assessment, and ensure our inspection markets are up to date.
You will work closely with various teams within SPC and maintain regular contact with both internal departments and external entities. This includes collaborating with customs, export control, purchasing, Sweden, and IT within Scania, as well as external partners such as customs, the Flemish government, VOKA, and MIC.
As an International Trade Coordinator, you will also be responsible for transport controlling. In this role, you will analyse costs incurred within the transport team and propose alternatives to reduce expenses. You will work in consultation with the Director of Transport & Distribution Structure to optimize cost management.
Your talents
To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills. You can effectively translate complex matters into understandable language and have no problem guiding individuals toward meeting regulatory requirements. You have strong analytical thinking and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of customs and trade matters is highly recommended.
Additionally, you are proficient in both spoken and written English and Dutch. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with various stakeholders and can build effective relationships.
