The Scania F360 bus makes its way to Kampala

Following the success of the Scania F310 bus in Kampala, Uganda, Skenya Motors (U) Ltd, Scania’s authorised distributor in Uganda has launched the Scania F360 bus at a colourful ceremony that was attended by the Swedish Ambassador to Uganda, H.E Per Lindgarde.

The bus which has been engineered for maximum fuel efficiency, safety and comfort and is suitable for the terrain in Uganda and in maximising fuel efficiency, this economical bus consumes about 2.9 litres of diesel per kilometre and will enable bus owners to save on the cost of fuel.

The Scania F360 bus has a 13-litre 360 horsepower engine 8-speed gearbox and a two-pedal Scania Opticruise electronic gear shift that is fully automated, reliving the driver of all work related to gear changing.

“The bus has been designed to meet the various needs and demands of our customers,” explains Aleem Nurali, Executive Director at Skenya Motors (U). The F360 bus is ideal for commercial operators operating cross border routes, institutions, universities and schools.

Similar to other Scania owned offices in East Africa, Skenya Motors (U) also offers reliable after sales support to maximise uptime, ensuring that customers vehicles are on the road and not in the workshop.

The company has also introduced the Scania fleet management to its customers that enables them to effectively and efficiently manage their vehicles from the comfort of their desktops and mobile phones. Customers are able to receive real time information such as the location, fuel consumption of their vehicles and the driving habits of their drivers.
