SCANIA PARTICIPATES IN INMEX 2019
Displays 13L and 16L Marine engines
October 2019: Building sustainable solutions is what drives Scania and the Marine Engines we offer are testament to that. To engage, inform and showcase our marine engine capabilities, we participated in INMEX 2019 held in Mumbai. On display at our stall were the 13 Lt and 16 Lt marine engines that are a product of timeless engineering and innovative design. They not only enhance customer profitability but are also IMO TIER III ready and crafted to build a better, greener tomorrow.
Scania´s high power marine range, consisting of 13-litre in-line and 16-litre V8 engines, uses extra-high pressure fuel injection (XPI) to reach effect levels of up to 1,150 hp (858 kW).The exceptional fuel economy, high power-to-weight ratio, immediate response, and impressive torque build-up contributes to operations that are both safe and efficient. Further, the Scania XPI system makes it possible to achieve this with minimum noise levels, benefiting both operators and surrounding environments.
All Scania engines are engineered to be dependable. With the support of Scania´s outstanding aftermarket, they provide a reliable solution for even the most demanding marine operations, making them perfectly suited for patrol craft, sea rescue vessels, pilot boats, and other planing vessels. INMEX is a leading platform for the marine industry and we leveraged our presence by interacting with industry and ecosystem experts. Over the course of the exhibition, around 60 key decision makers from over 25 customer firms had insightful discussions with the team present. The Scania stall also hosted key officials from the Indian navy and Indian Coast Guard. More than 5000 people from the marine industry visited our stall. Our participation in the exhibition was executed with the support of our dealer Aries and was a wonderful experience.
