The YETD final is bound to be an exciting competition where both newcomers and seasoned veterans will show off their truck driving skills. This year’s lineup consists of drivers with various backgrounds and skills – all of which will be tested thoroughly.
Stefan Büchele from Austria, at just 21 years old, is the competition’s youngest participant. This is the first time he has taken part in YETD and as he has reached the European Final we assume he’s got a winner’s instinct! Büchele often drives on narrow streets and regards the Knock the King to be his strongest event. The Super Z and Combo challenges however will likely be his most challenging disciplines.
Edy de Rocco from Italy, aged 35, is one of the more seasoned drivers with 14 years experience behind the wheels of trucks. He has also participated in three previous YETD national finals. De Rocco considers the Super Z challenge to be his strongest discipline, as it is in his working life. Having driven the narrow streets of Milan for many years, he knows how to fit through tight spaces. He thinks cargo securing is his weakest discipline.
