Scania Global Champion Trainee Program

Scania Global Champion Trainee Program

The new Scania Global Champion Trainee Program provides a unique start to your career and every opportunity to develop into a leader in our global organisation. You will fast receive a broad network and a holistic view of Scania as well as the Volkswagen Truck & Bus organisation.

You will be employed from day one and immediately set about immersing yourself in Scania’s company culture. You will gain an in-depth understanding of Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH (VWTB) and this will provide you with an essential foundation knowledge on which to build. The program begins with a comprehensive introduction and subsequently alternates between practical work and theory, giving you the chance to gain useful contacts and develop a broad level of competence. Vital skills such as leadership and change management will also form part of your training.

Contents and structure

The program takes place over 15 months with a possible additional 3 month module within VWTB for selected trainees. During your introduction period you will receive lectures from managers within Scania, participate in study visits, receive leadership training, appreciate driving theory for trucks and assembly practice. You will also take part in a common onboarding together with trainees from other brands within VWTB. The program continues with a number of practice periods, two of them abroad, and common activities together with the other trainees.
