My name is Nikita Tagner. I am enrolled in what is called Scania Student Intro (SSI), a programme set at Scania for students who have one and a half years left until completion of a master’s education. Since I am a student of Aerospace Engineering at KTH, specializing in Systems, my place at SSI is naturally the Systems Specialization.
Although I have a huge interest in technology and science, especially control theory and mathematics, my interests do not end there. I highly enjoy reading, everything from novels to history. I love to spend time with my girlfriend, family and friends. I really like training – running and muay thai is what occupies most of my scheduled workout time. In between all of my other interest, if time permits, I like to spend time volunteering for various humanitarian organizations.
With this blog, I hope to spread a slightly different picture of engineering and engineers. To show people, perhaps in the process of choosing an academic path, that engineering is fun and accessible even if you do not want to devote your entire life to studying one specific type of cog. I hope to show this while exploring engineering from a, for me, entirely new perspective – my new workplace at Scania.
