Hello! My name is Filip, I’m a participant in the 2018/2019 edition of the Global Champion Trainee Program at Scania! Before starting here I studied Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Management at Lund University, attaining a Master of Science degree.
Scania is operating in a very traditional environment, but the company attitude in this environment is bold, innovative and with a strive to be number one in changing the industry towards becoming sustainable. This mindset fits me well and is a major reason I applied to this trainee program.
My first contact with Scania was last summer when I participated in Scania’s Summer Technology Program that took place in Oskarshamn where the cab factory is located. During that program we got to meet plenty of people who inspired me to wanting to continue within the company after my studies. However, claiming a spot in the trainee program is not an easy task, the recruitment process is thorough and there are hundreds of applicants every year.
The trainee program is packed with activities, lectures, travels, meetings and much much more which I will tell you all about in this blog. I will also include my own personal reflections as well as input from my fellow trainee colleagues to give you as good of a view as possible!
