Young Potential Trainee Program aims to speed up young potentials development, preparing you for a future managerial career in an international environment. The programme is a cross functional cooperation to let you exchange experience and learnings that will provide you with a network and a large knowledge about Scania and TRATON GROUP.
What’s in it for you?
- You are employed from day one.
- Your programme will be built on your personal development plan together with your appointed managerial mentor, based on competence fulfilment set from the programme.
- You should be prepared to take on assignments globally for a minimum of three months, within TRATON GROUP and within Scania commercial operations.
The programme runs for 15 months, starting 23 August, 2021. We will start with an onboarding to get an overall view of Scania and TRATON GROUP. Your networking starts here!
During the programme we will conduct modules based on learnings about Scania, TRATON GROUP, personal development etc.

The programme is aimed at holders of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a maximum of three years’ of work experience after graduation.
As part of the selection process we use web bases test and during the process we look at a combination of your experiences, interests, personal qualities, leadership experience and formal education/qualifications.
When applying you will get to choose the area of competence that suits your profile and interests the most:
*Please note that if you apply for Product Research and Development a driver’s license for personal car (B) is mandatory since you need to be able to test the products you take part in developing.
**Please note that if you are interested in Supply Chain Management & Industrial Engineering with the specialization Production and Logistics you can apply for a position in Södertälje, Oskarshamn or Luleå in Sweden or Slupsk in Poland or Zwolle in The Netherlands
Scania & TRATON GROUP have global presence, for this reason fluent in English is a prerequisite and other languages are an advantage.
Find your Young Potential Trainee Program
Due to the reason that some assignments during the program will take place outside of Sweden for at least three months you need to be an EU-citizen or have a Swedish permanent residence permit, otherwise we risk to interfere with the migration rules for Sweden.
If you currently study outside of Sweden or have a foreign degree from your highest studies you need to get your degree verified by the Swedish Council for Higher Education. Please visit https://www.uhr.se/ to get recognition of your foreign qualifications. Note that this process can take up to six months.
