My name is Christofer Berrette
Passionate about programming, Software Developer Christofer Berrette found a perfect match with Scania. As part of a team, he develops digital solutions that makes it possible for customers to optimise charging for electric vehicles online. The team works with different technologies and programme languages, like Angular and TypeScript.
As a student in Computer Science at Jönköping University, Scania was always on Christofer’s radar. So when an opportunity opened up he went for it.
Christofer feels that he makes a difference for our customers, and contributes to a better world: “I love building something while I find creative solutions to problems with new technology.”
But he almost didn’t start programming at all. When he grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, he wanted to be a professional soccer player, and at 14 he was recruited to play in England ”But I discovered that wasn’t for me.”
His dad then suggested to try programming and Christofer was hooked from the start. Now, he loves it so much he even has his own YouTube channel to influence others.
“As a developer I have a lot of freedom with responsibility. It’s inspiring to work with cutting edge technology. There are many different career paths and potential to grow, develop your skills and learn new things.”
