Claes Erixon joined Scania as trainee in 1994 after obtaining a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He commenced his career at Scania as a development trainee and took his first management position in 1998. Since then he has held various management positions within Research and Development and Production and Logistics, among them workshop manager Cab assembly, Head of Research and Development in Brazil, Head of Truck Chassis Development, Head of Scania Project Office and most recently Senior Vice President and Head of Vehicle Definition. Claes Erixon was appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Research and Development in 2016.
