Scania’s G 410 has recorded an astounding fuel consumption of 23.3 litres per 100 kilometres, the lowest figure noted not only for Euro 6 but for all previous engine generations.
It was more than enough to qualify for the “Green Truck of the Year 2014”. Scania’s Product Manager for long-haulage, Gunnar Nyfjäll, explains how Scania achieved this feat through several improvement in cab design and other innovative measures.
Is Scania content? Not at all, as shown by the further three percent savings reached in the new 450 hp SCR only. And there’s one thing that’s certain, according to Gunnar Nyfjäll: Scania is hard at work to cut consumption even more.
