First Blog post!

First Blog post!

Hi!

When I am posting this I am at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam on my way to a secret location and a collaboration that I cannot tell you about right now! Or not.. Always imagined this blog to be a little bit like the influencer blogs and they always start like that. However, my blogposts will not include the same amount of champagne, fashion and fancy food as the “real bloggers” but for sure a lot of interesting work and lots of engineering inspiration!

Since this is the first post I would like to introduce you a bit more to my current life instead of throwing you in to a business trip at once. Also, before I forget, here is a link to the presentation about me that has been published at the Scania Career website! It is a short recap of my first 26 years up until last months when I moved to..

.. The Netherlands and a city called Breda. Here I am working at the Scania distributor for the region Benelux. The Scania distributors can be seen as the bridge between the head office and our regional dealers that are selling our trucks, buses, engines and services.  The distributors are responsible for importing vehicles, sales and marketing in the country, developing the sales force, technical support and many other things to make the service and delivery the best possible for our customers. Here in Breda I am working in the order to delivery group and I have two assigned projects that I will tell you more about in other posts.

I will be here until November and except for the summer holidays I have been abroad now since April. During spring I got the opportunity to spend 3 beautiful months in Munich and our sister company MAN. And that is how the trainee program works, every third months you will have to end your assignments and move to another department and sometimes even to a new country! This is nothing for people that like to be in a secure environment doing the same things every day but for people that likes to get the most out of a company in one year it is the best start ever!

I will leave it there as a cliff hanger until next week when you will see where my “secret” trip is going. Then you will also get the opportunity to follow me on one of my toughest challenges so far during the trainee program, I would say that is an even bigger cliff hanger!

Bye for now!

/Julia
