Fuel economy driving is a heavy leg in the qualification round of YETD 2015. Most of the participants completed the 32 km long run quite similar, but a few of them stood out with especially good results.

The competition objective of fuel economy driving is to demonstrate maximum productivity. The contestants must drive their vehicles the 32 kilometre public road loop using as little fuel as possible in the shortest time, without exceeding applicable road regulations.

During driving each one will be observed ands assessed by an inspector from the Swedish Transport Administration, the government agency issuing driving licenses for heavy commercial vehicles.
