Assignment Manager – Customized Truck

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

RS main focus is Scania trucks tailormade to customer requirements. This can mean anything from small changes like a new axle distance to complete solutions such as trucks for defence applications where a considerably larger part of the truck is modified. RSE is the product engineering group of RS, responsible for maintaining and improve product quality of the customized truck (FQ, PR, PCR).

Your role

We are solving our items according to red arrow process cross-functionally with field quality engineers, design, purchasing, material planning and aftermarket. You will be responsible for leading the assignments with focus on lead time, quality and cost. The pace can be high and our goal is to keep customers satisfied and minimize operational impact due to quality deviations on the field.

A key to success is project management skills as the most important job of an assignment manager is to balance the time plan of the project with respect taken to internal resources, testing, production and suppliers.

Who are you

You have an engineering degree from university (or corresponding experience from work life). You have experience from working with design and/or production. It is a merit if you have worked with project management before and are familiar with Scanias PD process. You are a natural leader that can utilize the many different personalities and competencies that builds up the project team. You are fluent in English (spoken and written), Swedish is a merit.
