2008: Volkswagen increases its stake

Volkswagen and Investor reach an agreement under which Volkswagen acquires 134 million shares from Investor and the Wallenberg foundations. Volkswagen thereby increases its stake in Scania to 68.60 percent of the voting power and 37.73 percent of the share capital. This means that Volkswagen takes a lead ownership responsibility in Scania. The agreement provides a stability that gives Scania the possibility to look forward and continue to develop as a world-leading manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicles.
