2007: First to achieve Euro 5

A new Euro 5 engine platform is launched and Scania becomes the first truck manufacturer to achieve Euro 5 without exhaust gas aftertreatment. Scania also presents a hybrid bus that saves fuel by at least 25 percent and cut fossil CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent when fuelled with ethanol. Furthermore, Scania expands its truck range with the new G-series, which is positioned between the smaller P-series and the roomier but more exclusive R-series.
