1993: Acquires bus factory in Poland

Scania acquires an unused Polish bus factory in Sɫupsk to set up truck assembly. In the early 2000s, the plant had shifted to bus production and is now Scania’s main bus factory in Europe, producing the Scania Citywide range of city and suburban buses, as well as some Scania OmniExpress coaches, the remainder being produced in Finland.
