As a system engineer, working with functions and software, the tasks is to work in the middle of the V model. Define the requirements on the specific ECU system given top level requirements from user functions, legal department, surrounding hardware and safety and security demands.
Work with the definition of the ECU interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, Diagnostic protocols and configuration parameters.
Follow up deliveries and test results and make sure to deliver the correct software to vehicle integration test.
The responsibility will include many systems for the cab such as climate control system, door system, alarm system, visibility systems and more. Work will vary between the systems so it is required to have the ability to quickly understand the systems to solve various challenges. Also good understanding of the functions that the systems provides.
Skills
Experience in embedded systems – automotive or aerospace
Understanding and interest in vehicle ECU systems and functions CAN, Diagnostics
Experience with developing requirements and specifications
Meriting
C/C++, GitLab CI/CD
Heavy vehicle, trucks
Understanding of electric hw of embedded systems
