Business Control IT IndOp Asia
Scania Industrial Operations Asia (including Scania Production (China) Co Ltd) are in the construction phase to build the 3rd hub in the Scania global production system, bigger than all other factory’s worldwide. On top of Europe, Latin America we are now establishing Scania for supporting mainly Asia from China. Starting from scratch, building the factory, setting organisation and processes in place, implementing IT locally and globally to support.
We are now looking for strengthening our Controlling team by recruiting an experienced business controller to be a part of the central controlling team, focusing on IT cost for implementation and development. This role should also be involved in building the organisation central Business Control, organized under Finance and Business Control locally in China.
Central business control has the responsibility of managing all the financial aspects of business control for some common functions, IT, HR, e t c. On top of that, consolidate the activity of all areas within Scania Industrial Operations Asia, into a one operation to see that we follow targets and budgets, and present to the management team of IndOp Asia.
We are now looking for a curious & ambitious Business Controller to join our team in Rugao, China.
Job Description
Your role in this phase in development of controlling, understand and keep control of the journey when we are establishing a whole new IT hub in China, implementing software in new data centres, connecting China hub to Scania global world. You should dig into the world of IT cost and together with the IT team manage IT cost according to plans.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial planning, ie budgets and forecasts
- Follow up actuals vs financial plans
- As Business controller being both sheriff and support in how to do thing
- Being the financial expert in different processes, helping the organisation to do things right within financial processes (for example order to cash).
- Ad-hoc questions: Everything from small isolated questions to complex analyses connected to setting up a new organisation, new processes, new systems, e t c.
The work is highly cross-functional, and you will have a close collaboration internally within IndOp Asia in Chinas as well in Europe and SLA as well with other controllers in all business areas. This operation is a part of the global organisation and cross-functional work a part of the daily work.
You will be a part of IndOp Asia IT Management team and report to Head of IT; VP Rikard Luhr (TT) and being a member in the common Controller team within Finance & Business Control (TF).
Your Profile
The person we are looking for understands the big picture but does not shy away from zooming into detail when necessary. You need to have communication and presentation skills, too be seen as support in the activity. You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of business, industrial engineering or similar, and relevant work experience. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years experience form Business controlling in a bigger company.
Most work is conducted in close connection with large parts of the Scania organization, and it is therefore vital that you like working within large networks. You are prepared to work cross-functionally and represent the department in several forums. Our communication within the group is mainly English and therefore your level of English, both in talking and writing must be high.
