Nobody can argue against the increasingly tough conditions facing haulage companies. Transport costs are extremely vulnerable to price, customers are placing increasingly stringent demands on delivery precision and just-in-time operations.

When you, as a Scania-customer, har received a credit from your home dealer to be used in connection with a Scania Assistance case, these credit terms will be entered into our cusomter register. The credit will be used in case of an emergency and the appropriate amount will be transferred to the repairing Scania workshop by our Assistance staff. In this way, the work can start more quickly and standstill costs are cut.

And of course, you always have access to a contact person at your Assistance centre or commercial support in Södertälje, where you can get  answers to any question you may have regarding invoices or other administrative issues. You can always choose the method of payment yourself - card or invoice.

Having to repair your vehicle in another country can often be a frustrating experience for a variety of reasons. Firstly, there are unexpected costs and secondly, unscheduled standstill may result in late delivery. What is more, there is always that nagging doubt that an unfamiliar workshop may not do the job as well as your regular Scania workshop back home, or that costs may escalate.

Scania Assistance is designed primarily to handle problems that are most acute and critical – namely technical problems or breakdowns.

However, we also provide practical assistance to help the driver complete his transport assignment. Here are some examples of the sort of help provided by Scania Assistance:

  • Contact with a workshop for repairs to your truck or trailer.
  • Contacts to secure towing services, tyre repairs, help when your fuel supply runs out and emergency starting assistance.
  • Credit assistance in connection with repairs.
  • Accommodation and various transport requirements in connection with repairs.

What is more, the Scania Assistance service is free to all Scania owners. What we debit are only the costs incurred, for example the call-out of the service van, repairs to the vehicle and invoice administration.

So all told, we pave the way for more reliable transportation and more profitable operation.
