Sust

Scania is one of the member companies in Sust (Sustainable Innovation AB), a Swedish initiative with the goal of developing and investing in clean-tech projects and business concepts. Sust is supported by the Swedish Energy Agency and gathers the best Swedish expertise in clean-tech development and energy efficiency.

Together with its member companies, Sust initiates and leads projects where developers, entrepreneurs and researchers can develop and implement their ideas.

Scania’s participation is a further expression of the company’s involvement and response to the climate change issue. Through its participation in Sust, the company hopes to broaden its network and ensure access to technological developments that extend beyond the transport industry.

WHO

Scania supports the efforts of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to promote road safety and has been a UN Road Safety Collaboration partner since 2005. The 45 partners in the Collaboration include international agencies, national governments, road safety lobby groups and representatives of the transport industry. The main task of the Collaboration is to build political commitment to road safety, especially in lower- and middle-income countries.

In many countries supporting WHO means encouraging changes in habits and spreading know-how. Scania also participates in local, national and global symposiums, such as the UN Global Ministerial Conference.
