Previous competitions
Scania Top Team has grown from a Swedish national competition to a truly global event, with contestants from the company’s workshops all over the world. To date, thousands of service technicians and parts experts have participated and developed their skills.
1989
Scania Top Team was developed in Sweden. In the early years, competitions were restricted to Swedish workshop teams.
1996
The competition grew to include the five Nordic European markets (Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark). The Nordic final was held in Angers, France.
1998
The Nordic final was held in Reykjavik, Iceland.
2001
The Nordic final was held in Prague, Czech Republic.
2003
The competition was extended to include 17 markets. The international final was held in Riga, Latvia.
2005
Twenty-one markets were represented. Two semi-finals were held (in Hungary and Denmark). The final took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
2007
A total of 31 markets were represented in the 2007 competition. The Scania 4-series final was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where five markets were represented. For the Scania P- and R-series, two semifinals were held in Södertälje, Sweden, with 26 markets represented. The final was held in Warsaw, Poland.
