Higher total height - airier interior
The Scania OmniLink has a flat and low floor in the forward section, and a normal-height floor towards the rear. And since the longitudinally mounted engine is inclined 60 degrees only two inside steps are needed from the low-floor section to the rear of the bus. The engine placement also reduces the noise inside the bus. What is more, the Scania OmniLink has a broad rear bench with five seats stretching above the entire engine compartment. Since the increased total height is achieved entirely by fitting taller windows, the interior is very bright and spacious.
Capacity for many seated passengers
The floor layout makes it easy to fit many seats facing forwards. The result is a comfortable bus more on a par with route bus standards, simple to upgrade to achieve the comfort levels required for long-distance travel.
In articulated version
The new Scania OmniLink in articulated configuration is a very attractive alternative - high capacity for many seated passengers and low cost. It is ideal for both city and route operations, where it can offer the sort of comfort level that is demanded for somewhat longer journeys. The low floor level at the front promotes fast passenger through-flow, and the two doors with their low entries ensure maximum comfort when getting on and off.
