The Scania OmniLine is available in a choice of 12 and 13.5 metre overall lengths, with between 47 and 55 seats and a floor height of 960 mm. The all-through luggage compartment with its capacity of 5.2 to 7.2 cubic metres is both easy to access and easy to use via the large side hatches. The Scania OmniLine is also available in a version with a lower and a higher windscreen.

The Scania OmniLine is powered by the Scania 9-litre Euro 3 engine producing a choice of 230, 260 or 300 hp. These engines are characterised by high torque from low revs, good fuel economy and low exhaust emissions. The engines are installed longitudinally and inclined 60 degrees to permit a low floor at the rear of the bus, thus minimising the total vehicle height and weight.  The powertrain includes the Scania mechanical gearbox, featuring Comfort Shift or alternatively an automatic gearbox. Both are available with an integrated retarder.

Scania OmniLine has a body made of aluminium, which is an environmentally optimised material that combines low weight with strength and durability.
